While completing my undergraduate studies in history and political science, I became fascinated by the role that social, political, and legal structures play in everyday life – as well as how those systems impact people in very real, personal ways. Law school ultimately gave me a path to engage with the legal system thoughtfully, continue learning, and support people through complex situations.
I have practiced across a range of areas, including business law, real estate, commercial lending, and wills and estates. Through that work, I have assisted clients from many different backgrounds with matters that are both practical and deeply important to them.
Becoming a lawyer has been a significant milestone for me and one I am especially proud of. The journey required moving across the country to attend law school, returning home to the Fraser Valley, and learning an entirely new way of thinking and working during articling. Along the way, I developed skills, resilience, and confidence that I had not always been sure I possessed. Being called to the Bar marked the culmination of years of effort and growth, and affirmed my commitment to the profession.
In my work with clients, I strive to be approachable, thoughtful, and clear. Clients have described me as someone who makes them feel comfortable discussing difficult topics and who is able to explain complex legal issues in plain, understandable terms. I believe that clients are best served when they feel informed, respected, and supported throughout the legal process.
